Cimmaron Hotel
Crested Butte Resort is an all-year-around ski resort in Crested Butte, Colorado. The scope of this project included an upscale restaurant, bar and lounge areas, commercial kitchen, and reception area. The challenge was to create separate spaces that function cohesively throughout different times of the day. The space offered lots of room and creative options, so it was imperative to keep unity between the functioning areas.
The local pine trees of Crested Butte were the inspiration for the design of the resort. Screens, room dividers and light fixtures were essential design elements used to create an exclusive decor with a natural ornate atmosphere.
For this project a classic Swiss chalet was envisioned with a modern approach, Certain typical components and finishes such as wood and the warmth of fire were kept, but also adding contemporary pieces and finishes.
